华南师范大学一年分为春季和秋季两个学期，每学期约18-20周，其中最后两周为复习考试时间。
One academic year consists
of two semesters, that is, the spring semester and the autumn semester, each
semester usually has 18-20 weeks, of which the last two weeks is for
examinations.
每年9月初是新学年的开始，也是秋季学期的开始，春季学期一般从2月底或3月初开始。
The autumn semester
usually starts from the beginning of September. The spring semester usually
starts at the end of February or at early March.
学校每年7月开始放暑假，约8周。
The
summer vocation usually lasts from early July to end of August, about 8
weeks.
寒假是根据中国的春节安排的，由于每年春节的具体日期不同，所以寒假的日期也不确定，通常是春节前10天左右开始，春节后10天结束，约4周时间。
The
winter vocation usually starts from late January to late February, lasting about
4 weeks
汉语进修生暑假期间还开班，具体安排请阅国际文化学院的招生简章及有关招收留学生的资料。
