外国留学生报到注册须知 Registration
1.我校新学年9月开学，新生持《外国留学人员来华签证申请表（JW202表）》和《录取通知书》按录取通知书上的时间到国际交流合作处及有关院系报到并办理入学手续。
The fall semester
starts on about September. On arriving at SCNU, newly enrolled students should
register at the Foreign Affairs Office within the period designated in the
Admission Notice. For registration, the student should submit the Admission
Notice, the visa application form JW202 and passport.
自开学之日起，凡在我校学习的留学生，一个月内必须到留学生管理办公室及所在院系办理报到注册手续，因故不能按时注册者，须提前请假，无故不按时注册者，按自动退学处理，学校按规定注销其学籍，已交学费不退。
Those
who fail to register within one month, without any prior written explanation by
mail or by fax, will be regarded as giving up the student’s status. The tuition
fees will not be refunded.
2.留学生报到时，应交大一寸（4 x 5cm）照片6张和小一寸（2.5 x
3cm），交验入学通知书，JW202表和体检表（体检最好到中国办理）。按规定时间办理居留事宜。新生交验的体检表，经广州市卫生检疫所验证不合格者，应重新体检，费用自理。体检不符合中国卫生检疫法规定健康标准者，应立即离境，一切费用自理。

The
new international students should submit 6 one-inch photos, the Admission
Notice, JW202 and the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners (You can have
the Physical checkup in Guangzhou).Those who fail to meet the requirements will
have to take another Physical checkup at Guangdong International Health
Center(#207 Longkou Rd west,Tianhe Dong, Guangzhou.Tel:
008620-38259306,38259322).The fees should be borne by the student. Registration
will be denied to those whose state of health is not up to
requirements.

3.签证、居留许可办理Visa residence permission is
handled
新生报到应持X签证（即学生签证）或持F签证（即短期来华学生签证）办理入学手续。
The new students should
present the X visa or F visa when they register
.
（1）外国留学生持X签证来华的，自入境起三十天内，持护照、健康证、《录取通知书》、《外国人员临时住宿登记表》、照片和学校证明到公安局办理居留许可，居留许可时间由所交的学费而定。留学生持居留许可在华居住方属合法。
International
students with X visa should bring their passports, Health Certificate, Admission
Notice, and Temporary Accommodation Form for Foreigners, Photos and the
Certificate issued by SCNU to the Police Station for the application of the
Residence Permit. It is legal to stay in China only after you have the valid
Residence
Permit.
留学生办理居留许可、短期来华学习签证、出入境签证等手续时，需持有效护照、相片（与广东省出入境证件数码相片检测中心联网的照相馆拍摄的照片）、到所住地派出所办理《外国人临时住宿登记表》和填写《外国人签证、居留许可申请表》到广州公安局出入境管理处办理相关签证。
When applying for residence permit，short-term or other visas from the Division
of Administration on Exit and Entry of Guangzhou Municipal Public Security
Bureau, international students should have the following documents ready: valid
passport, photos taken at the photo stores which are connected to the photos
verification center of Guangdong exit-entry administration, Temporary Residence
Registration Form issued by the community management & Service station, visa
and residence permit registration form filled by yourself.
A fine will be
imposed on those who fail to renew their visas or residence permits before their
expiration. No alteration of or damages to the visa or other official
certificates are permissible. Violation of the rules will result in
penalty.
留学生到校后24小时内需到当地派出所办理登记手续。
Within 24 hours of your arrival, you
shall report and register temporary accommodation in the local police
station.

Failure to do so will be subjected to penalty of a fine. In addition, all new international students should register at the local police station within 24 hours after their arrival.
居留许可内任何一项内容有变化，均需在公安机关规定的期限内，及时办理变更或延期手续。逾期不办者，公安部门按规定处罚。
If there is
any change in your Residence Permit, you should contact the Police Station
within the designated time limit for the new change or renewal. Anyone who fails
to do so will result in
penalty.
（2）在短期学习签证（F字）有效期内，留学生在校学习期间因病、因事回国或去港澳地区及其它国家旅行，经学校批准后，由本人直接到公安局外管科办理重返中国大陆的入境手续。在离开前10天到留学生办公室办理申请手续。
Within the validity of the F visa, those who need to go back to their home
country or travel to other countries or to China’s Hong Kong, Macao, should
contact the Foreign Affairs Office for the permission within 10 working days.
Then go to the Office for Foreigner Affairs at the Police Station to apply for
the re-entry
visa.
4.签证和各种证件不得涂改和损坏，应妥善保管，护照如丢失，需到当地派出所报案，到《广州日报》社广告部挂失，并按规定交付广告费，然后到公安局外管科办理备案手续，费用自理。
No
alteration of or damages to the visa or other official certificates are
permissible. Please take good care of your passport and visa. If you lose your
passport, please report the loss to the local police station and the advertising
department of “Guangzhou Daily”. Then please report to the Division of
Administration on Exit and Entry of Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau.
You should be responsible for all the fees involved.
